Activ Solar commissions fifth Odessa park

Austrian solar developer Activ Solar has commissioned its fifth project in the sun-drenched region of Odessa in southern Ukraine.

The 34 MWp Bolgrad Solar Park will generate an estimated 41.3 GWh per year, according to an Activ Solar press release announcing the commission and will feature 141,812 polycrystalline modules and 26 inverters.

Activ Solar has installed more than 180 MWp of solar capacity in the region over the last 12 months and manufactures polysilicon at ist PJSC Semiconductor plant at Zaporozhye in Ukraine.

The 63-hectare Bolgrad project will create 320 construction jobs and six full-time operational roles.
