BMW heir wants Solarwatt
21. May 2012 | Industry & Suppliers, Markets & Trends | By: Sandra EnkhardtBMW heir, Stefan Quandt has expressed his interest in Dresden-based Solarwatt. Germany’s Federal Cartel Authority is currently examining the takeover proposal.
According to a list published on May 15 on the Federal Cartel Authority’s website, Quandt wants to have "sole control over Solarwatt AG". Currently, he holds a 36.3 percent stake in the photovoltaic company.
In response to questions posed, Solarwatt would only confirm that discussions were ongoing. The outcome is still open, spokeswoman, Sabine Penawa told pv magazine.
