The Chinese module manufacturer says it is the sole supplier of modules to the two projects, which are expected to be located in Dunhuang city, Gansu Province and Qinghe County in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of China.
According to a statement released, JinkoSolar will supply 18 MW of its modules to China Guangdong Nuclear, having signed an agreement on September 27. The manufacturer is scheduled to make the first delivery by October 25.
It has been said that China Guangdong Nuclear Engineering Co., Ltd. will provide the engineering, procurement and construction work for the project.
"JinkoSolar's obligation to supply the remaining 20 MW of PV modules is subject to the entry into of a separate supply agreement between both parties," explained the statement. A spokesperson for the company told pv magazine that the second phase is "currently being negotiated". They would not disclose the financial terms of either agreement, however.
The two photovoltaic power plants are said to be an "integral" part of China Guangdong Nuclears 128 MW project, which will reportedly stretch across Chinas Western provinces. Work on them is scheduled to begin in October, and should be completed by the end of the year.
