China Sunergy financing deal in Turkey

Chinese manufacturer China Sunergy has strengthened its presence in Turkey by signing a capital leasing memorandum of understanding with a Turkish lender.

Cell and module manufacturer Sunergy, which has production facilities in Turkey as well as in its homeland, announced the deal with Deniz Finansal Kiralama on its website on Friday.

The Nanjing-based manufacturer, which last month announced shipment of 3 MW of Turkish–made modules from its Istanbul-Tuzla factory for a project in North Carolins, USA, will receive capital leasing from Deniz – a subsidiary of the Istanbul-based DenizBank Financial Services Group – for projects up to 100 MW in size in Turkey which use Sunergy's modules.
