enwi-etec presents remote emergency shut off switch

Share

The solution consists of an emergency shut off switch, which can be remotely activated and has an UPS controller as well. This ensures that a reliable de-energizing of all power lines occurs inside the building. The main benefit is that the risk for fire fighters is thereby reduced.

The emergency shut off switch is placed at the entrance of the building or directly next to the photovoltaic array. It shuts off either automatically in connection with an existing fire detection system or on request. The emergency shut off switch can be integrated into the company’s standard string or combiner boxes. To avoid an undesired shut off, the UPS controller is interconnected.

According to enwi-etec, the controller is the center of the intelligent system. All data and operating modes are collected here, and the integrated back-up system prevents the uncontrolled shut off due to short term interruptions of power supply.

The company states that two additional inputs are available to connect an external shut off switch. There is also the provision for interconnection with an automatic fire detection system. Status reports can be sent with SMS or emails via an optional GSM controller. This controller can also be used to control the system with SMS or to request status reports.

LEDs at the front side display the different operation modes. The company also has on offer the E-Tower, a charging station for public areas and companies, as well as with the E-Boxes for the private sector.

The E-Tower with its color display, buttons in stainless steel and a clearly arranged menu, allows a comfortable charging up to two vehicles at the same time. It is equipped with comprehensive safety features for authorization, registration and overload shut-off and allows different payment methods.
