Share

EVSI and Horizon Energy have already begun the design of the forest, and hope to have it completed by the end of 2014. When complete, it is expected to comprise 2,300 Solar Tree structures.

Horizon Energy will develop and finance the solar forest, while EVSI will supply the Solar Trees, which will be assembled locally. Installation of the structures is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of this year. It will be the biggest deployment to date of the Solar Trees.

Meanwhile, Green Energy Corp and McKim Creed Green will comprise the lead development and delivery team for the project.

"The skills of our team are unique in the industry, and we believe that this Solar Forest, as the anchor of our microgrid plan, will be the model for future installations. We are creating a sustainable and reliable renewable energy generation plant which will serve the region for decades," stated Steve Pullins, CEO of Horizon Energy Group.
