Sunrise Powerlink Transmission Line.

The project will be one of the first to be connected to the Sunrise Powerlink Transmission Line.

Fluor was awarded an EPC contract to construct the 170 MW photovoltaic plant in southern California by Centinela Solar Energy last September. Construction on the first phase, worth 125 MW, began last December.

Overall, the plant is expected to be fully operational by mid-2014. It will be one of the first projects to be connected to the Sunrise Powerlink Transmission Line. Meanwhile, the generated electricity will be supplied to San Diego Gas & Electric under a 20 year PPA.
