GameChange racking expands production to Detroit

Share

GameChange Racking has announced plans to install three roll forming lines in a new factory in Detroit, Michigan. These will have the capacity to produce enough panel mounting rails for 600 MW of ground-mounted thin-film projects annually, as well as 500 MW of annual capacity for pile manufacturing for all GameChange mono-post systems.

GameChange estimates that this increases its total manufacturing capacity to over 2 GW, roughly half of which represents a combination of mounting rails and pile manufacturing, as well as tracker systems. The company's production is scattered across the United States, with facilities in Kansas, Ohio, Wisconsin, Florida and other states.

GameChange Director of Sales Teresa Zhao says that this manufacturing will serve the market in the U.S. Midwest. This market is still relatively small compared to California, the Southwest and the Northeast, however she is optimistic about the future.

“Next year it will be, that's why we need to be there,” Zhao told pv magazine.
