A spokesperson for the company tells pv magazine that the new workshop is spread across an area of 1,920 square meters in Nanjing, China. It is said to include a "scientific layout", optimized production lines and 6S management. Annual photovoltaic module production capacity has gone from 360 MW to 540 MW.

In a statement released, the Chinese manufacturer says that in comparison to Phase I, the workshop contains more advanced equipment for environment control, more automatic framing machines, and a new EL tester, which enables two people to inspect the products simultaneously.

Jason Zhang, Gesolar production director says that production efficiency has been increased by 15 percent. "The expansion not only meets the growing demand," he states, but also provides customers with shorter lead time and higher quality."
