In the light of a positive solar outlook in Kazakhstan, Germany-based Vaillant Group, an internationally operating heating, ventilation and air-conditioning company, has opened a representative office in the largest Kazakh city of Almaty (formerly known as Alma-Ata).
"Our company has been paying much attention to the developments in the renewables market in Kazakhstan as well as the entire Central Asia," Daniel Küser, Vaillant Group corporate communications manager, told pv-magazine. "We wish to participate in its growing solar and other alternative energy markets as the current market conditions are favorable for green and sustainable energy technologies. There is a clear trend toward sustainable energy generation in the region."
The representative office was opened by Carsten Voigtlander, Vaillant Group CEO, who also paid a visit to the exhibition Aqua Therm Almaty, which took place simultaneously in Almaty. The German company participated in it for the first time.

Acknowledging the highly competitive renewable energy equipment market in Kazakhstan and throughout Central Asia, with Vaillant solar panels on display, the Vaillant Group chief expressed confidence that German products will be able to compete with the other products in the region, especially the abundance of Chinese solar goods.
"Our products are made in Germany. In addition, we offer various trainings for our installer partners and a wide range of services to our customers in our every representative office. This is what distinguishes us in the market," Küser noted. "Renewables are on the rise in Kazakhstan. And it is not just the solar sector that is promising there. We are targeting a sales growth rate of 50% annually until 2017 in Kazakhstan," he added.
