Hanwha Q CELLS, AGR break ground on large-scale PV plant in UK

Share

AGR, which specializes in utility-scale PV and medium-scale wind plants, is overseeing development of the project, with Hanwha Q CELLS handling engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services on the project, located near Cambridge.

The ground-mounted plant will employ 94,500 Q.Pro-G3 solar panels generating an estimated 22,445 MWh of energy a year – enough to power 24,800 local households. The project is scheduled to be completed and connected to the grid in March.

The Stowbridge installation not only strengthens Hanwha Q CELLS footprint in the U.K., it also underlines the company's position as a full service provider for advanced power plant solutions – from design development through to the supply of modules and EPC, said Frank Danielzik, Hanwha Q CELLS’ vice president EPC.
