The MOU will see a number of "off site," i.e. not on DMRC locations solar PV projects installed in Indias national capital region, including New Delhi, and surrounding urban areas in the neighboring states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
According to a statement on SECIs website today, the initial phase will involve the installation of 500 MW of ground-mounted projects over a three year period. While DMRC will enter into relevant long-term PPAs, SECI will both own and operate the projects.
"For implementation of the MoU, an ‘Action Plan' would be developed, and a Joint Development Team (JDT), consistingof senior officials from both the organizations, would be formed," read the statement.
