Under the agreements, YHS is expected to purchase 10 megawatts of photovoltaic modules from Yingli in the second half of this year.

The company has also been appointed as Yingli's exclusive agency in Japan for sales of photovoltaic modules within the Japanese residential market. The agreement came into effect in march and will remain in place until December.

YHS is a joint venture between West Holdings Co., Ltd., a Japanese construction companies for residential rooftop solar power systems, and Super Tool Co., Ltd. a specialist of wrench components and hardware tools.

"We are pleased to announce this meaningful step that we took in expanding our sales within the Japanese solar market," commented Liansheng Miao, chairman and chief executive officer of Yingli. "We believe by cooperating with YHS (…) we will be better positioned in assessing and responding to the needs of our Japanese customers."
