China's JinkoSolar has joined Germany's Soventix on one of the largest roof-mounted PV plants in South Africa.
JinkoSolar said on Wednesday that it had supplied 304 kW of high-efficient solar PV modules to the project, developed by Soventix in Johannesburg.
The project utilizes more than 1,200 high-efficient JinkoSolar PV modules and will produce approximately 443,840 kWh of electricity per year.
"We are very happy to build a strong partnership with Soventix GmbH to supply and construct this paradigmatic roof-mounted PV plant in South Africa," said Arturo Herrero, JinkoSolar's chief marketing officer.

Herrero said South Africa was one of the company's key markets where it has already achieved around 300 MW in contracts with its partners for the first and second rounds of the public tenders. JinkoSolar expects to strengthen its position in the coming third round of public tenders, Herrero added.
The Duisburg-based Soventix has been globally active in the development, construction and operation of solar power plants since 2010.
