JinkoSolar to supply 20 MW to State Grid Corporation of China

JinkoSolar has won a tender to supply 20 MW of solar modules to the second phase of China's National Wind/PV/Energy Storage and Transmission Joint Demonstration Project.

The second phase conists of 60 MW, which have been divided into three tenders, one of which went to JinkoSolar, which will deliver the solar modules during the fourth quarter of 2013.

Located in Zhangbei County, Hebei Province, the project covers approximately 200 square kilometers. With a total investment of some CNY 12 billion ($1.96 billion), the endeavor will establish what JinkoSolar describes as "the biggest and most comprehensive facility integrating wind and solar power generation as well as power storage and smart grid technology … ."

The wind and solar energy project will serve as a platform for scientific research and act as a model for future grid-friendly renewable energy projects. It includes 500 MW of wind power, 100 MW of solar power and 110 MW of power storage system.
