Juwi Renewable Energies FZCO has appointed two new chief executives to oversee a growing project pipeline in the Middle East and Africa as the company increasingly becomes a major player in the regions bourgeoning renewable energy sector.
The Dubai-based subsidiary of the German renewable energy group is currently realizing a 23.1 MW project in Jordan and developing a 5 MW wind and solar project in Bahrain scheduled to be completed in October.
In order to accommodate the projects and Juwis growth in the region, the company has appointed Dirk Holzrichter and Ronald Saade as new CEOs of the subsidiary, who replace managing director Luca Sacchetto.
I am looking forward to working for juwi Renewable Energies FZCO and to realize solar and wind projects in the region as the Arabian Peninsula offers tremendous potential for renewable energies, Saade said.
The company has also developed strategic alliances with organizations such as the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in Saudi Arabia and the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) in Egypt as well as Chinas Chint Electric and Dubais Z-One Holding.

In addition to its current projects, Juwi is waiting for decisions on a number of advanced offers made in the region.
Construction work at the companys 23.1 MW solar project in Jordan began in November and is now in full swing; the plant is expected to begin operation by mid-2016.
Via its sister company Juwi International GmbH, Juwi Renewable Energies FZCO is also managing the wind-solar project in Al Dur, Bahrain, which combines 2 MW of wind turbines and 3 MW of solar PV panels.
