Juwi to develop 10 MW Texan project

German developer juwi has signed a 30-year PPA for a 10 MW solar project with utility El Paso Electric Company. The project is set to be generating in December.

German solar developer juwi will construct a 10 MW project for the El Paso Electric Company.

A U.S. subsidiary of German solar developer juwi has signed an agreement to design, build and operate a 10 MW solar project in El Paso, Texas.

Newman Solar, a subsidiary of Wörrstadt-based juwi AG's U.S. subsidiary juwi Solar Inc., has signed a 30-year PPA with utility El Paso Electric Company and expects to have the plant up and running in December.

The 100-acre Newman Solar Project will be built next to El Paso Electric's Newman generation station with the design phase set to start in early summer.

Juwi will be responsible for developing, designing, building and operating the plant.
