LDK’s PV modules to be manufactured in Ontario
02. December 2011 | Industry & Suppliers, Products | By: Becky StuartUnder a new agreement announced today, OSM Solarform Corp. will manufacture around 20 megawatts worth of LDK Solar’s photovoltaic modules at its Welland-based production line in Ontario.
OSM and LDK will also enter into a non-exclusive distribution agreement, whereby OSM will both manufacture and distribute LDK's modules.
Commenting, Xiaofeng Peng, chairman and CEO of LDK Solar, said, "This relationship will allow LDK Solar to take advantage of the wealth of solar opportunities that OSM has developed in Ontario Canada."
It is not yet known when the modules will be manufactured, if they are being produced for specific projects, or how much the agreement is worth.
