SolarEdge presents a new product, a 2.2 kW cost effective inverter, expanding its current portfolio of single-phase solar inverters, and enhancing the company’s offering for residential installations.

The line of SolarEdge inverters now includes a new 2.2 kW inverter, adding to the existing 3 kW, 3.5 kW, 4 kW, 5 kW and 6 kW single-phase solar inverters. SolarEdge says that the flexible design and longer strings enabled by the inverter maximize roof utilization, which is extremely important for residential rooftops.

Furthermore, the SolarEdge line of single phase inverters gained a 0.2 to 0.4 percent efficiency improvement due to the inclusion of technologically advanced components. The range of 3 kW, 3.5 kW, 4 kW, 5 kW and 6 kW PV inverters now exhibits an improved European weighted efficiency as high as 97.6 percent. The inverters comply with the new German Low Voltage Grid Code VDE-AR-N-4105 (LVGC) as well.

The inverters are equipped with a built-in power reduction interface on the new communication interface. The communication interface also allows connection of three single-phase inverters in a dedicated bus to prevent phase imbalance.
