A Phono Solar spokesperson tells pv magazine that construction on the monocrystalline photovoltaic system began at the end of July and was complete on September 15. Overall, €800,000 was invested in the project – 20% of which came from private investor Esthesis Energy and 80% from the bank.

The generated electricity is expected to provide enough power for 1,250 average Romanian homes. "The Galati county is an area that could potentially generate vast amounts of energy through PV technology. This new project demonstrates the Phono Solar company values of stability, reliability and creativity, as we look to provide a diverse range of financially secure renewable energy solutions to markets worldwide," commented Valentin Macec, Phono Solar Romania country manager.
