The Netherlands-based company has said it plans to install 45 MWp in North America on the back of projected growth in the region, including six projects in New Jersey and one in Ontario.
Meanwhile, it has earmarked 26 MWp for Australia, where it has recently commissioned two photovoltaic rooftop projects. Finally, Photon Energy has said it is planning to install nine projects worth 51 MWp in Romania, and nine small-scale projects in Turkey totaling 5 MWp.
A spokesperson told pv magazine that the company is planning to issue a bond in February to raise 40 million to kickstart the projects. They added that some of the projects have already secured permits, while others are in the planning stages.
"Construction work could begin as soon as the bond is issued and we have raised enough investments. The pipeline is scalable, so if we raise less than the 40 Mil. EUR we aim for, we would primarily invest in Australia and North America," continued the spokesperson.
CEO and founder, Georg Hotar added, "With our project pipeline we want to profit from the growth predicted for the PV market while pursuing both off-grid solutions and projects based on Feed-in-tariffs."
