Positive sales figures thanks to antidumping measures, says Isofoton

Isofoton has seen an increase in module orders in Europe since early August. The orders are especially strong from France, Italy and the U.K. With this increase, the debt-ridden company is able to cover its production capacity until the end of this year.

The implementation of the antidumping measures in the EU-China trade case has helped the sales numbers according to the company. Ángel Luis Serrano, President of Isofoton, stated, "The antidumping measures are bringing about a rise in prices in the European market, and this has entailed a recovery in margins for the second half of 2013".

The acquisition of the Bureau Veritas European manufacturing quality certificate and the British BRE Global Mark certification for the company's new polycrystalline module line have also helped.

Isofoton now expects the antidumping measures to continue aiding the company in generating new orders in Europe. Nevertheless the future of the company is still dependent on its debt restructure and renegotiation as well as sale of its assets and resizing of the company. Isofoton filed for restructuring proceedings following a $96 million lawsuit by Hemlock in May this year.
