Q-Cells COO steps down
05. May 2011 | Industry & Suppliers | By: Becky StuartGerhard Rauter has resigned from his position of chief operating officer and member of the executive board, effective immediately. No reason has been given for his sudden departure.
Rauter undertook the role of COO at German company Q-Cells back in October 2007, where he was responsible for, among other things, production and technology.
His responsibilities will be assumed by CEO Nedim Cen for the time being, while Jirko Lohse and Peter Wawer will support him in production and technology matters, respectively.
Q-Cells thanked Rauter for his work on the company’s cell production in Thalheim and for successfully setting up the company’s cell production site in Malaysia.
In a statement, they said: "The Supervisory Board would like to express its sincere appreciation to Gerhard Rauter for his performance, even in the difficult reorganisation phase during the year 2009, and wishes him all the best for the future."
