San Francisico-based solar developer Recurrent Energy this week announced its latest 88 MW portfolio of projects went into commercial operations.
The cluster of five projects in Southern California, and a sixth in Arizona, was acquired by Google and global investment firm KKR in November.
Recurrent Energy announced in a press release on Wednesday four projects in Kern County California totalling 55 MW one in the city of Adelanto and one in Maricopa County, Arizona, were up and running.
The developer says 500 construction jobs were created across the sites to develop the 106 MWp portfolio, which will have three offtakers, including Southern California Edison.
The acquisition follows a deal in December 2011 which saw Google and KKR purchase a four-project portfolio developed by Recurrent Energy.
