Chinese solar module manufacturer ReneSola has signed a 30 MW supply agreement with Cofely Solar Technics to deliver its 260w Virtus II modules to a utility-scale PV project in Nottinghamshire, England.
Energy efficiency company Cofelay Solar Technics has already developed a series of solar projects in the U.K., and has opted for ReneSolas high-efficiency, Polish-made 260w Virtus II modules for this latest development.
Shipments have already begun, and the final delivery date is expected before the end of September.
In March, ReneSola made the decision to exit the EUs minimum import price (MIP) agreement for OEM modules in a move the company CEO Xianshou Li said who reduce unnecessary inconveniences and uncertainty for its customers.
The 260w Virtus II modules are made at ReneSolas Poland fab and thus are exempt from any duties.
"The U.K. continues to serve as an important market for ReneSola, be it for our self-developed downstream projects or for our solar module supply contracts with buyer partners like Cofely Solar Technics," said Li. "Regardless of the end market, our Virtus II modules remain in high demand for their consistent quality and efficiency.
"We are pleased to enter into this 30 MW supply agreement and look forward to future opportunities for collaboration."
