The auto manufacturer has, together with Gestamp Solar, set up two PV plants, which generate a total of six million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity. It is said to be the largest rooftop PV system in Spain.

The initial phase will reach a nominal potential production of four megawatts (MW).? The installations cover a total surface area of 135,000 square metres and include over 20,000 solar panels. They are located atop workshop roofs and temporary vehicle holding areas.

Throughout this year and next, new phases are expected to be added. In total, Seat is looking to install 10.6 MW. As such, it says it will have the capacity to generate more than 13 million kWh annually of clean electricity.
