Construction on the project is scheduled to commence during the second half of 2012 and is expected to create hundreds of jobs for the local community. Once the solar power plant is fully operational, it will reportedly have the capacity to provide electricity to around 135,000 households for 25 years.
"This project is the worlds largest solar PV power plant and it meets the Posco Groups actively promoted green energy strategy. It will be the foundation of our entry into the US and other overseas markets for new and renewable energy," states Soung-Sik Cho, president and CEO of Posco Power.

We, at SECP, are certainly pleased to be bringing much-needed jobs to Nevada while advancing our mission of providing power that is both clean and sustainable."
