The sales manager responsible for Italy and emerging markets for Chinese solar giant Jinko Solar says the former solar pioneer nation "still represents an attractive market for 2015 and the coming years."
In a press release issued to publicize the forthcoming Solarexpo event in Milan, Alberto Cuter, of Jinko Solar Italia said: "There are considerably fewer players on the market and that's why we want to make sure we are present at an event like this."
Organisers of the renewable energy conference are also highlighting the return of Austrian inverter company Fronius which did not attend last year's event as an indicator of a revival in the stuttering Italian solar industry that went into deep freeze as wave after wave of financial crises hit the EU's southern European nations.
"We're back this year because we believe that the photovoltaics market is changing again," Alberto Pinori, general manager of Fronius Italia is quoted as saying in the release.
Inverter manufacturer ABB will attend the Solarexpo The Innovation Cloud event, from April 8-10 at the new MiCo Fiera Milano Congressi venue in Milan, along with Italian module maker FuturaSun and solar and small-scale wind company Sunerg.
