The news follows a long, drawn-out saga, which has seen Solyndra declare bankruptcy, company executives pleading the fifth amendment, an investigation into the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) loans, and the White House being subpoenaed.

The around 411,618 square foot facility is said to represent "a rare opportunity to acquire a world class manufacturing facility in the Silicon Valley". It boasts a manufacturing area of 287,448 square feet and an office building spread across 37,210 square feet, in addition to approximately 1.2 megawatts of installed solar panel capacity, and other assets.
