Marking its solar expansion in the U.K., CSUN has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with an unidentified investor worth 50 MW.
While a spokesperson for the Chinese solar company would not reveal the investment details, or who its partner is, they did tell pv magazine the MOU will see the installation of a solar park in the U.K. More details are expected to be made available in the next 4 weeks.
In a statement released, William Sheng, CEO of CSUN Europe GmbH, said "CSUN is preparing for large scale employment of its technology in solar park project realization … We are very pleased to have found the right partners from the investment community, with whom we have signed a 50 MW Memorandum of Understanding as first step of our UK extension plans."
CSUN will be exhibiting at the Solar Power UK tradeshow, scheduled to be held in Birmingham from October 2 to 4. Country manager, Yolanda Qin will be holding daily presentations on the important characteristics of photovoltaic modules in a solar park application.
