Solectria Renewables' inverters and monitoring system were selected for use in the Cedarville project, which will feed solar generated electricity directly into the university's distribution system via a new underground utility corridor.

The solar array is located on land that was recently purchased from Cedarville by the university. The project will produce enough power for 250 homes and spare the atmosphere over 2,478 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions a year.

Solectria's utility-scale SGI series inverters with 97.5% CEC (California Energy Commission) efficiency were selected by Melink Corporation for the project. Additionally Solectria's SolrenView web-based monitoring system has also been installed to monitor the array's power generation activities.

Colin Derhammer, senior design engineer of Melink stated that Solectria's inverters were chosen after extensive research of inverter producers, additionally citing that they were impressed with Solectria's technology and customer service.

2.5 MW in Roswell and a CEO to look out for

Solectria Renewables was also recently selected to power a 2.5 MW ground-mounted project in Roswell, New Mexico with its PVI 95KW central inverters. Green States Energy is the project developer for this installation. The electricity produced at this site will be sold to local utility Xcel Energy.

In March, Boston Business Journal's Mass High Tech named Solectria Renewables' CEO Anita Worden as one of the "2013 Women to Watch." Worden and her husband James set up Solectria Renewables in 2005 together.
