China's Yingli Green Energy has now shipped more than 10 GW of solar PV modules globally, sufficient to power four million average households and enough deployed systems to cover one-fifth of Chinas residential power consumption in 2013.
Collectively, there are now more than 40 million Yingli solar modules deployed in more than 50 countries worldwide. With each module fully operational, Yinglis fleet could offset 6.8 million tons of carbon emissions a year the equivalent of planting more than 340 million trees.
After enjoying high profile success at the recent FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the company is confident that it can ramp-up its growth and market penetration even further, and is preparing to deliver sustained focus to small off-grid applications in some of the worlds emerging regions.

Yingli has been the world's leading supplier of PV modules for the past two years, according to figures from IHS, shipping more than 3 GW in 2013 for an 8.3% share of the global market, just ahead of its fellow Chinese rivals Trina Solar and Jinko Solar.
