Juwi to develop 10 MW Texan project

A U.S. subsidiary of German solar developer juwi has signed an agreement to design, build and operate a 10 MW solar project in El Paso, Texas.

Newman Solar, a subsidiary of Wörrstadt-based juwi AG's U.S. subsidiary juwi Solar Inc., has signed a 30-year PPA with utility El Paso Electric Company and expects to have the plant up and running in December.

The 100-acre Newman Solar Project will be built next to El Paso Electric's Newman generation station with the design phase set to start in early summer.

Juwi will be responsible for developing, designing, building and operating the plant.
