The Ciudadela project has a generation capacity of 517 kWp and consists of 1,782 LG NeON 290w mono-crystalline photovoltaic modules and Solaredge inverters and optimizers. The project was installed on a huge steel structure built by Alonso Caruso as subcontractor over the top floor of the Plaza Ciudadela parking garage.

"This project was one of our most ambitious and challenging in terms of engineering and management,” says James Huff, CEO of abakus solar USA Inc. "Due to the salty air and several different types of metals used, we isolated each module from the mounting structure as well as the mounting hardware to eliminate the threat of electrolytic corrosion, not to mention the hurricane rated structure is nine stories above ground level and only a mile from the ocean."

"We are happy that abakus solar USA Inc. continues its success in delivering high quality photovoltaic projects not only in the US but also abroad," says Roland Wigger, CEO of abakus solar AG.
