Developed, owned, and managed by award winning non-profit Bridge Housing Corporation, the Celadon at 9th and Broadway features 250 units for senior citizens and low income families and individuals earning between 30% and 60% of the Area Median Income. It will also have units dedicated to San Diego’s Behavior Health Services (BHS) who help homeless people link up with social services and permanent housing.

Adroit's VP of Engineering, William Chen, says, "The affordable housing community is strongly focusing on renewable energy because they receive higher rebates under the California Solar Initiative. It significantly reduces operating expenses, promotes environmental consciousness, and simply an excellent investment for our community's future."

Turner Construction contracted Adroit to design, engineer, build, and maintain solar hot water and solar photovoltaic systems. The project is expected to be LEED Silver certified. The system includes 105 Kioto FP 1.20.0 HE sc ab solar thermal collectors, and a 2,448 gallon Hasse Storage tank. In the next few weeks, Adroit’s team will be installing a photovoltaic facade of 125 260w 1Soltech monocrystalline modules. This is one of the only buildings with integrated solar facades in San Diego.

The Celdon is scheduled to be completed in early 2015.
