"The solar industry has made huge strides in the last few years. Canada competes globally due in large part to individuals and companies in the solar industry who show leadership, and take innovation, technology and research to a new level", said John Gorman, CanSIA President and CEO. "We feel it's important to recognize special achievements and we congratulate all the winners at the 2015 Game Changer Awards."

This year, Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) partnered with CanSIA to institute a new award, the Solar Power Woman of Distinction Award. This award recognizes women who have made extraordinary contributions to the solar industry and have excelled in areas as diverse and important as business development, volunteerism, policy and advocacy, technical research and development, project management and public adoption of renewable energy technologies.
