Chinese manufacturer Clenergy has received thank you letter from children at two Fijian primary schools after donating solar systems to schools in the Pacific.

Xiamen-based Clenergy donated rooftop and ground mount systems to Rob Edwards' It's Time Foundation, which installed a 2.3kW solar system at the Natusara Primary School and a 4.6kW solar system at the Namamanuca Primary School in Fiji, complete with battery storage.

Clenergy has been a member of the foundation since 2010.

With the help of Clenergy and other solar companies the It’s Time Foundation, schools in the Pacific Islands is replacing inefficient, expensive, unreliable and polluting diesel generators with clean solar systems.

At Natusara Primary School, diesel fuel usage dropped by around 80 per cent, while at Namamanuca, the solar system supplies 90% of daily power requirements.

The schools now have a reliable and eco-friendly power supply and their limited funds are used for educational purposes rather than diesel.

"We're proud that Clenergy, through our support of the It's Time Foundation, can contribute to the education of children in Fiji and the planet in which we all live," said Mario Guzzi, Clenergy VP of international sales and marketing.

Clenergy maintains a commitment to the community, partners and the planet.
