groSolar, an industry-leading commercial and utility-scale solar engineering, procurement and construction firm, has entered into a 105 MW supply agreement with NEXTracker, designer and manufacturer of the world’s most advanced single axis PV trackers.

Over the next three years, NEXTracker will deliver state-of-the-art trackers for groSolar’s distributed generation (DG) projects throughout the U.S. The first deployment under the agreement will be a 2.4MW DG system in the Midwestern U.S.

"groSolar is excited to be working with NEXTracker; their innovative tracker technology provides tremendous flexibility for our typically layout-constrained DG projects – especially in the Northeast and Midwest,” said James Resor, CEO of groSolar. “NEXTracker’s technology is one the most welcome advancements to emerge in ground-mounted solar; it will enable us to help our customers lower costs and increase energy production. We’re also extremely impressed with NEXTracker’s service capabilities across multiple areas – including system design, value engineering and yield enhancement."

"groSolar is an exemplary solar power system provider that delivers tremendous expertise in designing, engineering and constructing systems that enable their customers to lower their operating costs with clean reliable solar power,” noted NEXTracker CEO Dan Shugar. “We’re extremely proud to be working with groSolar on deploying over 100MW of distributed generation solar power projects over the next few years. DG is a fast-growing segment of the solar market and NEXTracker is thrilled to be expanding our presence in this area.”

NEXTracker’s unimpeded, unlinked rows provide greater layout flexibility on a wide range of sites, as well as significantly lower operations and maintenance costs. This, coupled with rapid constructability and higher energy yield, enables NEXTracker to deliver higher profits with greater reliability for solar EPCs, developers and system owners.
