Southeast Asia PV market is flourishing in recent years. As an important market, Malaysia power consumption capacity will increase to 1GW in 2020. The Malaysia FusionSolar Seminar jointly organized by Huawei is held in Kuala Lumpur on August 23rd, with the theme of “Lead to Smart PV Industry”.

In attendance were many key leaders attend the seminar, Datin Badriyah binti Abd Malak, Deputy Secretary General of KeTTHA, Mr. Ahmad Shadzli bin Abdul Wahab, President of MPiA, Mr. DATO SRI A.H.ONG, Operation Manager of MSR, Mr. Ko Chuan Zhen, Executive Director of Plus Solar, Mr. Thatree Homsirikamol, Direct of B.K.K., Dr. Yunfeng Liu, Chief Scientist of Huawei FusionSolar. There are many valuable guests such as investors, consulting companies, EPC contractors and local banks join the seminar and share opinions of policies in Malaysia and their experiences in solar plant development.

The seminar began with the speech, PV Industry in Malaysia, delivers by Mr. Ahmad Shadzli bin Abdul Wahab from MPiA and followed by a speech from KeTTHA, Datin Badriyah binti Abd Malak, subjecting on Solar PV Investment Opportunity in Malaysia. With the 1GW PV capacity in next 5 years, there are full of potentialities and opportunities of PV industry in Malaysia. The Malaysia solar PV industry development is also supported by the country existing policies and regulations and looking forward to bring advanced products and technologies to Malaysia PV market high-tech enterprises such as Huawei.

Furthermore, Mr. James LEE from MSR shares about One Project Development Case Study. He presents the cases of the collaboration with Huawei, the actual PR of 89% in maximum, and average is above 87%. In addition, another point that attracts MSR is that Huawei string inverter has zero failure rates until now.

Then, Mr. Ko Chuan Zhen, Executive Director of Plus Solar, interprets the Success Factors in Solar Project Development, which are the local government regulation & policy, feasible financing modeling, investment location, proven technology and reliable EPC company. Huawei provides the reliable inverter maintenance support, with lightweight, consumable-free and quick replacement, the installation and maintenance of power plant is simple.

During the seminar, there is a signing ceremony of MOU between Huawei with MSR and Plus Solar, in future 3 years and more, both MSR and Plus Solar will use Huawei string inverter in developing their power plant.

Huawei, as the global smart PV leader, launches FusionSolar Smart PV Solution which has been under quick and massive application in the world.

Recently, international authoritative consulting institutions IHS and GTM Research both release their global PV inverter reports which list the world's PV inverter suppliers in 2015 from the aspects of shipment and revenue. From the dimensions of shipment, Huawei, a company from China, comes out on top in the list.

It is reported that Huawei integrates its years of experience of digital information technology and Internet technology with PV technology and launches the leading FusionSolar Smart PV Solution. In 2015, Huawei inverter shipment reached 10.5 GW, which means that Huawei inverters have been widely used in the world and won widespread recognition. Huawei FusionSolar Smart PV Solution has the core values of efficient energy yield, intelligent O&M, and high security and reliability thanks to its string-based management and global automatic O&M which is digital and simplified.

As Huawei PV inverters began to sell in Malaysia market in 2014, Huawei rapidly builds a highly professional and local marketing service team. The strong technical team brings Malaysia PV market with advanced concepts and technical innovation.

Huawei FusionSolar Smart PV Solution requires the same initial investment CAPEX as traditional solutions and lower OPEX, but increases the energy yield by more than 3%. String inverters can be installed outdoors, which saves land and investment costs and avoids the problem of hard to obtaining land in Malaysia. Protected to IP65, the inverter is applicable to the humid climate and salt erosion in Malaysia. The inverter efficiency improves by more than 50% thanks to its consumable-free, natural cooling, and zero-touch O&M features. The inverter can be used together with tracker supports to both increase the energy yield efficiency and save investment cost. With higher reliability, the inverter uptime can reach to 99.9% if sufficient the spare parts are maintained on site.

Through constant R&D and innovation, Huawei continues to realize its own value and makes breakthroughs in the PV industry. The high-quality products and innovative solutions will definitely help Huawei win the trust of more users in Malaysia.
