Hosted by the Construction Industry Development Board, the ICW conference has been bringing together industry players under one roof to learn and share from each other for 13 years.

It will this year feature the second Ecobuild Southeast Asia 2014 showcase for sustainable design, construction and built environment, and it will run concurrently with co-located events Green Build Asia, Eco Light Asia, Solar Asia Expo, ASEAN Real Estate and Infrastructure Summit 2014, Construction Showcase and the Malaysian International IBS Exhibition.

Some 10,000 industry professionals including architects, consultants, contractors, developers, engineers and factory owners are attending the event, which offers business-matching opportunities throughout the three days.

"The sustainability movement in the Malaysian building industry has grown dramatically since the introduction of the Green Building Index rating tool in 2009. MGBC is glad to spearhead this movement and proud to be a supporting partner of EcoBuild SEA 2014. Let us help further create an unstoppable tidal wave of sustainable change and innovation across the cityscapes of Malaysia and beyond," said the Malaysia Green Building Confederation (MGBC).

Three hundred exhibitors from 24 countries have also signed up to display their products and expertise with country pavilions being taken up by United Kingdom, China, Singapore and Korea among others.

"As a platform that links home-grown players companies to the rest of the world's construction industry, Ecobuild Southeast Asia is an ideal platform to highlight MRCB's sustainable approach for urban renegeration and renewal, based on the Green concept and Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) approach.
