Lark Energy: A fully funded solar PPA with up to 50% savings

For the first time in the UK, Lark Energy Commercial is now able to offer larger clients and business up to 50% savings on their Electricity Price with No Capital Outlay; with an offer which avoids the requirement for the creation of any leasehold, other legal estate, any registration at HM Land Registry or any notice and restriction affecting the prospective Customer’s property and or title.

We are able to offer this solution to our Customers due to our exciting new partnership with SunEdison, the world’s largest renewable energy developer. Through an innovative 20 year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), SunEdison has stripped away the complexity and potential liabilities associated with current ‘market’ roof lease products.

The new product has the following features:

  • No Capital Outlay
  • No Roof-Lease or any other ‘Registered Interest’ at the Land Registry required
  • Simplified contractual arrangement
  • Up to 50% Energy cost savings from day one
  • 20 year discounted energy supply contract
  • Fully ‘Insured and Maintained’ system
  • Increase your Corporate Social Responsibility

Exhibiting at EcoBuild in March, with SunEdison’s support, Lark Energy Commercial has seen rapid uptake in this new product and is in advanced talks with a number of corporates with significant property portfolios.

Jonathan Selwyn said: “We are delighted to have entered into partnership with SunEdison, the leading global renewables company, to launch this exciting new product in to our current and potential customers.

We know there are a growing number of companies who have identified solar as a key element in their carbon reduction strategy but that don’t necessarily have either the free capital available or can justify investing in non-core business at this time. This new product offers them the cost and carbon reduction benefits without having to bear the up-front capital commitment, or taking on a complex and costly, roof lease arrangement.

We are looking forward to working with SunEdison to identifying key customers, undertaking project delivery and maintaining the operational assets.”

Alexander Goodall (SunEdison – National Commercial Director) said: “This PPA is specifically designed to enable the deployment of Solar PV with ‘Blue-Chip’ and Investment grade off-takers without the requirement for a roof-lease or any other registered interest in the property.

SunEdison works with best in class installers and developers in order to deploy as well as maintain high quality Solar systems with PPAs to our UK customers. SunEdison are proud to announce that Lark Energy Commercial, are the first Installer Partner to sign up to us and be able to sell the unique SunEdison Solar PPA unlocking and enabling the roof-top marketplace, that previously had proved to be an extremely difficult nut to crack.”
