"We are very proud that our RS1 clamp has been selected as one of the finalists for the Intersolar Award 2015. We have put a lot of energy into the development of this new clamp and used an innovative manufacturing process that is usually employed in the automotive industry; its the first truly universal clamp on the market that really does fit everywhere," explains Stefan Liedtke, Managing Director of Renusol. "The product has enabled us to make the work of installers markedly easier. Now the user always has the correct number of clamps on site, thus planning and installation becomes much more convenient." Using the RS1 pre-assembly work is no longer required.
In order to switch between the mid and end clamping functions, the clamp head is simply turned 90 degrees. The RS1 clamp is clicked into place on the mounting rail and can very easily be moved along the rail until it is in the correct position. Installers can attach the clamp with just one hand, which is a particular advantage when working on steeply pitched roofs. Moreover, the clamp head is secured with a washer that keeps the head in an upright position and does not cause an obstruction when mounting the PV panel. The height of the RS1 can be adjusted, making it suitable for all standard solar modules with frame heights of 30 to 50 mm.
