Siemens AG is one of the world’s leading providers of energy- and resource-efficient technologies. Roughly 43 percent of the company’s total revenue stems from green products and solutions.

In joining the SETI Alliance, Siemens is demonstrating its support for a trade agreement to support the deployment of clean-energy technologies around the globe.

Peter C. Brun, Managing Director of the SETI Alliance, said: “We warmly welcome Siemens AG as a partner in the SETI Alliance. With its strong record in the clean energy industry at the global level, Siemens brings a substantial amount of knowledge and ideas to the Alliance’s work on facilitating international supply chains and reducing the barriers to international trade flows in this sector. The SETI Alliance and its partners will ensure that such practical suggestions are communicated to the officials who are negotiating the Environmental Goods Agreement.”

Siemens will be joining the SETI Alliance as a supporting partner. The Alliance’s other partners include companies such as Vestas, Yingli Solar, Trina Solar, Suzlon, and Canadian Solar, as well as organizations such as the Global Green Growth Institute, the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development, the Danish Wind Association, the Global Green Growth Forum, and the European Wind Energy Association.
