T-Solar is affiliated with Grupo Isolux Corsan, S.A. (Isolux) of Spain, which has a

business record spanning more than 80 years.

The Project is the first mega-solar project (total output of the two plants: 44.328 megawatts) in Peru, located in a sunlit area at the south end of the country. The Project began commercial operations on July 1, 2012 and has two 20-year fixed-price power purchase agreements guaranteed by the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru.

The Project has attracted attention as the first utility scale solar power generation business in Latin America with interconnection via Peru’s national power grid. SCA will further strengthen collaboration with Isolux through electricity and infrastructure projects in the Americas starting with this Project.

Peru boasts one of the highest levels of economic growth in Latin America as well as sound economic policies and more advanced legal frameworks in terms of the introduction of renewable energies. The country is expected to bring approximately 1,000 MW of renewable energy online in the next decade.

The Sojitz Group has developed solar power generation businesses in Japan and Germany. The Project will allow the Group to accumulate further operational know-how in the field. Sojitz will continue to actively promote its renewable energy business, including its mega-solar power projects, to contribute to the development of a sustainable society.
