Solar power plant investors increasingly opt for independent Operations & Maintenance services

When confronted with the bankruptcy of the current O&M service provider, it is about time for solar power plant owners to start looking for an external service company.

Project Quality 4t2 GmbH has foreseen this development at an early stage and now profits from negative experiences of solar plant investors who contracted the original EPC as O&M provider. This constellation often leads to conflicts of interest between plant maintenance and existing EPC warranties.

"We are completely independent from manufacturers and EPCs and therefore do not have to deal with such conflicting interests," said Jan Gäde, Managing Director of ProjectQuality4t2. "We solely work for our clients, the owners of the solar power plants."

This engagement is also reflected in the compensation scheme of ProjectQuality 4t2 which consists of a fixed and a performance-based component.

Jan Gäde describes the concept: "It is in our own financial interest to detect and correct defects in the plants immediately and thereby ensure the optimal plant performance."

The consistent customer orientation has already convinced various asset managers and investors; currently ProjectQuality4t2 has solar power plants in the double-digit Megawatt range under management.
