SolarWorld successful in Poland: Another solar farm completed

SolarWorld has been active on the Polish market for three years, and is well established as a brand. “Our early entry onto the market in Poland was an important step, since this enabled us to already establish structures at an early stage and built up a sales network. If a feed-in tariff is paid in Poland from next year onwards, and demand starts to increase, then SolarWorld will be excellently prepared”, explains Dr.-Ing. E.h. Frank Asbeck, CEO of SolarWorld AG. It can be expected that once the incentive programme starts, the share of small roof systems will increase. SolarWorld has the right product to meet this demand: as well as solar power modules produced in Germany, the company also offers complete packages with all the necessary components. These package solutions are easy to install and with their 3-6 kWp sizes are ideally suited for small systems on single- and dual family homes.

The majority of the systems that SolarWorld has completed this year in Poland are ground-mounted systems. These include three solar farms in eastern Poland: a 1 MWp solar farm in W?odawa was connected to the grid in July, while another 1 MWp system is currently being installed in Karolówka Kolonia. The biggest system completed by SolarWorld in Poland this year is on a former rubbish dump site in Tomaszów Lubelski. This 1.3 MWp system is the largest project on a rubbish dump site ever to be constructed in Poland. Solar Park Zamo?? Sp. z o.o., an installation company and SolarWorld partner, developed their own mounting system for the farm. The farm was inaugurated and connected to the grid in October.
