This fixed tilt solar array is expected to generate over 820,000 kWh of Energy annually for Entergy Mississippi, Inc., the owner of the solar project.

"We are harnessing the sun to power the future," said Haley Fisackerly, Entergy Mississippi president and CEO. "This is the first completed, utility-owned solar installation in the state of Mississippi."

Bright Future is the name of Entergy's plan, approved by the Mississippi Public Service Commission, to address the state's service needs in the next ten years. The 3,700-panel project is the first of three solar projects to be commissioned by Stion Energy Services and Entergy Mississippi. The other two sites near Jackson and Brookhaven, both of which are to be completed by the end of the year, will help Entergy understand locational differences, weather patterns and solar irradiance at the different locations throughout the state.

"Stion is proud to partner with Entergy to deliver this historic solar project which will provide a clean, economical source of electricity for Mississippi's residents," commented Jeffery Cheng, CEO of Stion Energy Services. "We hope this project is representative of the vast potential to deliver Stion's "Simply Better" solar solutions to Mississippi and the entire region."
