The RE&EEAC advises the Secretary of Commerce regarding the development and administration of programs and policies to expand the competitiveness of U.S. exports of renewable energy and energy efficiency goods and services.

Developed to meet the goals of the National Export Initiative and President Obama’s goal of becoming the leading exporter of clean energy technologies, the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Export Initiative includes 23 commitments from 8 different federal agencies for new programs, actions, or deliverables that will help address the major export barriers facing U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency (RE&EE) companies.

“It’s an honor to join this important committee,” said Matt Card. “As the leading U.S. manufacturer of high-quality, high-value crystalline solar cells and modules, Suniva is recognized as a forerunner in the clean energy economy. With nearly a decade’s worth of solar energy experience and a large global customer base, I feel confident that I can make a positive contribution to help Secretary Pritzker in achieving her renewable energy goals.”

Suniva has had a successful history with its global energy efforts. The company was awarded the "Renewable Energy Exporter of the Year" by the Export-Import Bank (EX-IM Bank) of the United States and was also a Platts Energy Award recipient in the Commercial Technology of the Year category.
