A term of around 13 months has been assumed for this project. The company has said that the order is not expected to be reflected in the company’s sales before 2011.?

"This major order underlines the enormous development potential harbored by our turnkey business," commented Dr. Dietmar Roth, CEO of Roth & Rau AG. "We have seen increased demand, especially in Asia, for the extension of our turnkey products both upstream and downstream. In recent months we have focused more closely on wafer production and deliberately expanded our expertise in this area. Not only that, offering wafer production systems enables us to access sales markets for our two new silicon crystallisation products, SiNUS 840 and TiTUS 1200."

?The unnamed Indian customer placed an order for several complete cell production systems with Roth & Rau at the end of last year. "Wafer and cell production development are now available from a single source. This generates synergy effects at customers in terms of their project handling and ramp-up expenses. At the same time, Roth & Rau can itself draw on its longstanding experience in the cell line project business when handling such projects," explained Dr. Roth. "This major order means that we can now report total new orders of €250 million in the 2010 financial year to date," added company CFO, Carsten Bovenschen.
