In an interview with the news agency, SolarWorld chairman and CEO, Frank Asbeck, is quoted as saying: "We are not holding conversations with First Solar and an offer has not been discussed." He continued by stating: "A takeover by First Solar would be as bad for us as if it were done by the French nuclear industry."
Speaking to pv magazine, however, First Solar would neither confirm nor deny the speculation.
